Vance was a collegiate All-American and a 2-time national champion in the long jump and 4 x 100 relay. After graduating in 1986, Vance became a 4th round draft pick of the Los Angeles Raiders and had a rewarding career as a special team player and third down back. After a serious knee injury, Vance officially retired from pro-football in 1993 and began his new career in fitness opening his first health club in 1994.

Vance graduated from Occidental College with a degree in exercise science and has since partnered in several health club ventures locally and out of state. Along the way Vance has earned several other fitness certifications including a Master Sport Trainer (MST) from the National Institute of Sports, as well as certificates in golf fitness, lifestyle and weight management, Swiss-ball stability and rehabilitation and sport performance enhancement. My name is Dan Pierce, owner of Full Throttle Fitness.  I began my career as a fitness professional while attending Chico State University in 1999, where I received my Bachelors of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology and was a member of the 1999 Men’s Baseball Division II National Championship team.  As a former athlete and draft pick of the St. Louis Cardinals Major League Baseball Organization n 1996, I know the commitment, determination, and level of training it takes to complete at a high level.

My most recent achievements as a Personal Trainer took place in the Professional Motocross industry where I worked exclusively for 2 years with Motocross Legend “Iron” Mike LaRocco.  During this time I helped Mike with the U.S. Open Championship, a Indianapolis Supercross Championship, and numerous top 3 finishes.  During my nearly 10 years as a Fitness Professional I have personally trained hundreds of athletes, adults, and children of all ages and skill levels.

Jamie began working in childcare at Mueller Fitness in El Dorado Hills in 1995.  At the time Jamie weighed 187 lbs. and had never worked out a day in her life.  Tired of battling a weight issue since childhood and wanting to set a good example for her children, she decided it was time for a lifestyle change.   The fitness journey began with some hesitation and fear of the unknown, but she figured everyone has to start somewhere.

With support from Vance, Lissa and her co-workers Jamie was able to drop 40 lbs. in 9 months with a healthy fitness routine and diet modification (no more Dr. Pepper and Snickers for breakfast).  In 1998, Jamie became Group Fitness certified and began teaching Step and Body Sculpting classes.  Over the years she has continued to teach Step & Sculpt but has added Indoor Cycle, Core and Balance, Cardio Kickboxing and her new favorites, Heavy Bag FIT Boxing & Boot Camp to her fitness endeavors.  Her passion and success with her own fitness journey has inspired many individuals.

In 2002 Jamie added a new challenge to her life; coaching her daughter’s soccer team in El Dorado Hills.  After a few rough years, she found that her gift wasn’t in the coaching of the game, but in the training and conditioning of team during the practices.   She shifted her role from Head Coach to Conditioning Coach and has found great success.  Her desire to inspire and motivate teens to develop a positive self concept and have fun with fitness has led her to training at Mueller’s Elite.

Currently, Jamie is the general manager and a trainer at PEAK Health & Fitness during the day. So whether you are new to fitness or comfortable in a workout environment Jamie will provide the program to educate and motivate you on your fitness journey.  First training session is always free so call today 530-383-7383.  Change your mind about fitness; your body will follow.

Since establishing Mueller Fitness with her husband Vance in 1994, Lissa has become an accomplished fitness instructor, teacher and coach. Lissa, now at Mueller-Elite Training has worked with hundreds of people and has earned specialized fitness degrees in several aspects of personal training including Pilates, N..I.A., Spin, Group X and Fit-Boxing.

Lissa is also a P.E. teacher at St. Johns in Folsom where she also served as the Head Track Coach. Lissa currently is coaching track at Oak Ridge High School and coaches the hurdlers, sprinters, and relay teams. Lissa was an All-American hurdler during her college days at Occidental College and still holds the school record for the women’s 100m hurdles.

My passion for fitness training stems from my own journey toward wellness.  I have personal experience with weight-management and recovery & rehab from severe injury. These experiences have taught me the importance of integrating fitness, nutrition and behavioral changes to achieve success. They also give me a unique connection with my clients.
I challenge and empower my clients to define and reach personal goals.  I emphasize strength training modalities that can be transferred from the gym to daily life.  My intense and effective technique incorporates the best of weight training, kickboxing, plyometrics, and yoga to achieve optimal results.  I am also proficient in core training, endurance training, muscle growth, fat reduction and sport specific training.
